Lufkin Registered Sex Offender Arrested

LUFKIN – A registered sex offender, sought by Lufkin authorities, has been arrested. East Texas authorities had been asked to be on the lookout for William Thomas Dykes, 38. He was suppose to have been living with a family member. When police learned he had been living at a Lufkin motel, a check showed he had checked out August 7th. He was arrested Monday by authorities in Diboll. Dykes has previous convictions for failing to comply with registry requirements. His original charge stems from an Iowa conviction for attempt to commit assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.
