Vintage Aircraft Coming to Tyler
Posted/updated on: March 9, 2018 at 1:31 pmTYLER – The Wings of Freedom Tour comes to Tyler Friday afternoon. Some extremely rare aircraft will be flying in around 2:00 o’clock. Included is a B-17, (pictured) one of only 9 in flying condition in the United States. There will also be a B-24J Liberator, the sole remaining example of its type flying in the world. Also coming is a B-25, best known for being used in the daring Doolittle raid. And also on the tour is a P-51 Mustang fighter and a Huey helicopter. The tour will be at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport through Sunday afternoon. You will be able to tour the aircraft and some of you will even be able to fly in them.
