Now it’s called “Opening Night.”

January 31, 2017

It used to be called “Media Day,” and it was just that, a day for the media to have access to every player from both Super Bowl teams. Today, it’s no longer called Media Day and it no longer happens during the day.

Welcome to “Opening Night” at Super Bowl LI in Houston. Yes, the media still has access to the players. But now it’s one more event open to the public for the purpose of making money for the NFL.
