Paul Gleiser, who signs the checks, has not only landed here in Phoenix, but he’s here at NFL Media Headquarters and Radio Row.
He’ll be doing some really nice videography pieces and slide-shows.
He’ll not only bring the atmosphere from Phoenix back to you, but also at times let you watch what we do.
We’ll, we’ve checked into the NFL Media Headquarters, Craig Smoak, Bill Coates, Jeff Wood, and I have our credentials, and we have a GREAT spot on radio row.
Right next to the NFL Network’s location and Sporting News Radio.
Those two entities have always been great about feeding us some of their guests.
But most any guests you hear this week, comes from the hard work of our on-site producer, Jeff Wood.
He’s a bulldog, and learned from one of the best in Chris Visser.
Jeff and I are now putting the equipment in place, Craig is working stories from the Internet, and Bill Coates is talking to his son Braden.
Coatesy did come up with one of the biggest moments so far today, he went to get us lunch.
Our owner, Paul Gleiser, should be in town sometime within the next hour or two.
Hugs and Kisses,
because it’s when we check-in for our Super Bowl credentials, and then start setting up our table and equipment at NFL Media Headquarters and Radio Row.
Jeff Wood, Bill Coates, Craig Smoak, and I, will go to the Phoenix Convention Center at 2:00pm (MTN) today, and start about 5-6 hours of tedious work.
Jeff’s technical and computer-skills come in very handy, Coatesy standing around doing nothing—but asking what he can do—is one of the annual rituals of this day.
No, I’m not asking anyone to feel sorry for us—because I know you won’t!
And yes, we ate at my favorite spot, P.F. Chang’s last night, I love the atmosphere and their food. Something you don’t see very often occurred on the corner of this area in Tempe, a protest and rally over Palestinian occupation, there were about 200 people involved with signs, banner, and a megaphone.
I’ll try and update you throughout the afternoon.
Here’s one of many articles, features, and stories we’ll try and include each day. You’ll probably get more than you’ll want or need, so enjoy what you can, Patriots Dynasty.
Saturday, January 26th
Well, we’re here, arrived just before noon mountain time.
Bill Coates, Jeff Wood, Craig Smoak, and I are all checked in at the Doubletree Hotel.
We’re just 5-10 minutes away from the Phoenix Convention Center, where we’ll be spending almost all of our time.
For those who haven’t traveled with Bill Coates, he’s very anal about everything. We’ve had him spooked on numerous occasions, and we’re about to unfold another scare.
He’s just too gullible, and I’m just to mean.
Oh well, we’re eating dinner at my favorite establishment, P.F. Chang’s tonight.
I love that place.
We’ll get a chance to relax tonight—Sunday is always the most difficult day, credential check-in with hundreds of others, and putting everything in place for our broadcasts starting bright-and-early on Monday morning.
