Teacher of the Month/Year | What is RSS? | + RSS

KDOK 92.1 FM and AM600 KTBB in conjunction with Trane, Brookshire's and East Texas Trophy present the "Teachers of the Month".

Each month 7 or 8 teachers are recognized for excellence in the classroom from the East Texas area. They receive a plaque from East Texas Trophy and are placed in the running for the "Teacher of the Year" award in May. The "Teacher of the Year" honors include a cash prize and state-wide recognition.

TYLER -- Teachers from Robert E Lee High School and Jones Elementary have been named Tyler's teachers of the year.

Lana Hood, a Physics teacher at Robert E. Lee High School, was named the Secondary Teacher of the Year. Brenda Orbaugh, a Kindergarten teacher at Jones Elementary, was named the elementary teacher of the year.
