Counterfeit Bills Turn Up in Gregg County

Gregg County Sheriffs Office patchLONGVIEW — Some counterfeit $20 bills have turned up in the Longview area. The Gregg County Sheriff’s department reports the money was used to pay for services at a local restaurant. The bills are said to have a smooth texture, smell of fabric softener, and matching serial numbers. Two persons are said to have passed the phony money. One was a white male with sandy blond hair, dark colored eyes, clean shaven, standing approximately 5’7” tall with an average build. The second suspect was a white female, sandy blond hair, approximately 40-45 years of age, approximately 5’7”tall with a small build.
