UT Tyler Enrollment Crests 10,000 Milestone
Posted/updated on: September 14, 2017 at 2:35 pmTYLER – For the first time in its history, The University of Texas at Tyler now enrolls more than 10,000 students, based on preliminary enrollment numbers for the Fall 2017 semester. As of the 12th class day, the university has 10,527 students on record. That includes the Longview University Center enrollment of 285 students, up from the 210 recorded last fall. UT Tyler President Dr. Michael Tidwell says UTT combines the best of a UT System education with a student-focused community. He also called the caliber of incoming students “impressive.” UT Tyler is one of the fastest growing higher education institutions in the state, growing an average of eight percent annually since 2011.
