State Inspector Checks the Henderson County Jail
Posted/updated on: February 13, 2018 at 1:11 pmATHENS – The Henderson County Jail in Athens has passed state inspection. The unannounced review took place late last week. Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said the inspector from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards performed a top to bottom inspection. Every aspect of the jail was reviewed including maintenance records, general paperwork, medical records, mental health reports, logs and time-check records. The sheriff said the two-day inspection left no stone unturned.
