LONGVIEW — Spring Hill ISD trustees talked about safety in their schools Monday. Due to the recent school incidents across the country, they discussed different approaches to ensure the security and the government’s plan to institute more safety in schools. They also voted to add a K-9 unit for a drug free zone. Superintendent Steven Snell told our news partner KETK, “We’re looking for ways to improve our campus safety, limit access to our building, and just give our parents and students some peace of mind that we are doing everything it takes to keep the students safe.” Trustees said price will not be a factor and they will do everything they can to keep their students safe.
