TxDOT Road Projects Update

TYLER – TxDOT is planning to conduct the following construction and maintenance work throughout the district during the week of March 18. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.
In Smith County, the Farm Road 2493/Old Jacksonville Highway widening project from Gresham to Flint, gets underway with right-of-way clearing operations. Motorists will notice a new construction speed limit of 45 mph in place throughout the work zone. Daily lane closures could also be at play as needed. Motorist should expect a change in their daily commutes.
