Westwood Boil Notice Lifted

PALESTINE – The city of Palestine has rescinded the boil water notice for the Westwood area. According to a news release, “Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of April 24, 2019.” Officials add that there are no boil water notices in effect in the city at this time. They add, although the water may appear a bit cloudy while the full pressure returns, the water is safe for drinking.
