One Dead in an Accident North of Tyler

WINONA – A man has been killed in a Smith County industrial accident. It happened around 8:45 Wednesday morning at a business at the intersection of Interstate Highway 20 and State Highway 155. Dead at the scene was Jose Pena Garcia, 48, of Texarkana. He was pouring concrete at the hose end of a boom when the weight apparently shifted and the boom hit him in the head. OSHA will be investigating the accident.
