TYLER — Art of Peace is a week-long, Tyler, celebration of the annual United Nations International Day of Peace marked around the world on September 21. The 2019 Art of Peace theme is Living Peace, and the 2018 Peace Honoree is the People of Tyler, so many of whom are practicing peace in their daily lives. This year’s Art of Peace events include a Peace Art booth at the Boys & Girls Club Day for Kids, a juried Peace Art Exhibit at the Tyler Museum of Art,

a Peace Meditation session, a Community Forum on Race, a Honk for Peace vigil, a Peace Poetry Reading and Open Mic, a Peace Pole Dedication, and a Community Peace Meal with a tribute concert to peace pioneer Pete Seeger and our annual Art of Peace group photo. The annual Art of Peace international poetry anthology will be published on the Art of Peace website, along with the self-guided map of Tyler Peace Art installations. All Art of Peace events are open to the public and, except for the Peace Meal which requires paid reservations, events are free of charge. Complete information on all Art of Peace events is available at http://tylerpeace.com/
