KINGSVILLE (ABC) – The couple arrested in connection with the death of James and Michelle Butler of New Hampshire made initial court appearances Friday. In handcuffs, shackles, and a ballistic vest: Adam Curtis Williams. An appearance came minutes later for Amanda Noverr. The two were identified in a Border Patrol photo driving James and Michelle Butler’s pickup truck, hauling a travel trailer into Mexico at around the time the Butlers’ remains were found on a beach on Padre Island. For now, Williams and Noverr are charged only with felony theft, but their bond is set at a million dollars each. They’ve both been appointed attorneys as well.
