TYLER — Tyler city officials confirm that an airplane flipped during take off on Friday afternoon. According to our news partner KETK, no injuries resulted in the crash. Officials have not determined what caused the plane to flip during the take off. The runway was shut down for a short time while they awaited equipment to remove the single engine plane. Tyler Pounds Regional Airport remained open during cleanup efforts, as the airport funneled additional flights to the other runway, that was still in operation.
