KILGORE — The 8th Annual KilGogh Arts Festival happens Friday and Saturday in the Texan Theater and Old Post Office in Historic Downtown Kilgore. The goal of the KilGogh Arts Festival is to provide an opportunity for local and regional artists to exhibit their art and make the festival an East Texas art experience for the community.

The festival, which takes its name from a combination of Kilgore and Van Gogh, always has a Van Gogh style theme and this year the “Gogh Crazy” theme is sure to provide some unique artwork. The festival hosts an annual Art & Wine Exhibition that takes place on Friday February 21 from 6pm – 9pm, where attendees will be treated to wine tastings from seven Texas wineries, hor d’oeuvres from Kilgore College Culinary Arts students as well as an array of artwork from the 17 exhibiting artists. The art exhibition is open to the public for free on Saturday February 22, 2020 from 10am-2pm. Tickets to the Art & Wine Exhibition are $30 and can be purchased in advance from Kilgore City Hall, online or at the door on Friday night.
