LONGVIEW — According to our news partner KETK, late Thursday morning Longview ISD announced they would extend their campus closure for the next two weeks, until April 9. Gregg County is set to go into a mandatory shelter in place at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday night. Dr. James Wilcox said on the district facebook page, “Our campus leadership remains active in working with their teachers and parents in order to deliver instruction to our students in whatever means is most convenient for our families.” The Longview Superintendent went on to say, “At the same time, the work of our Child Nutrition and Transportation departments to provide meals for our families continues as well.”
