Two Person Race for the Longview City Council

LONGVIEW – Two persons will be on the ballot early next year for the special election for the Longview City Council. The district 3 position has been vacated by Kasha Williams who has announced she is running for the Gregg County Commissioner Precinct 4 position. The filing deadline for the city race ended on Monday for the February 3rd election. Filing for the city post is Lonnie Murphy, who is retired and Wray Wade, a business owner. They are scheduled to draw for positions on the ballot Thursday morning. Early voting in the election is at city hall starting on January 17th.
