PLANO – A 58-year-old Fort Worth man has been found guilty in three late 2017 credit union robberies, including one in Tyler. Wayne Alan Watson was found guilty of three counts of armed bank robbery Thursday by a federal jury in Plano. Authorities say he hit the Altra Federal Credit Union in Tyler along with locations in Denison and Gainesville. Additional robberies linked to Watson in Austin and Wichita Falls early this year led to his identification as the serial robber. Watson faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for each charge. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled after the completion of a presentence investigation.
