Hawkins Teen Died after Flag Football Game

HAWKINS � A Hawkins High School student died Thursday, a day after sustaining a head injury while playing flag football in his high school athletics class. Hawkins authorities say Jacob Gatlin, 15, died on Thursday morning of a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma. According to KETK, Jacob was not taken by ambulance from the school after the injury, but went home, where he started feeling ill. He was taken to a local hospital by EMS, and later to Dallas Children�s Hospital, where he died shortly after 9:30Thursday morning.
