TYLER — The Tyler City Council is mulling over the results of a new water rate study that proposes a 2% water rate increase and a 7% wastewater rate hike. Greg Morgan is the city’s director of utilities and public works. He tells KETK the city has a history of long-range water planning. According to Morgan, “The five-year studies that we’re doing are just part of that proactive long-range planning that we do.” The study concluded that Tyler’s water rates are currently among the lowest in the state.
