Charges Upgraded against Police Officer
Posted/updated on: October 20, 2012 at 5:51 amHOOKS — An East Texas police officer who was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stabbing his wife with syringes has had new charges filed against him. Investigators say it was first thought Hooks Police officer David Horn had stabbed his wife with syringes filled with animal tranquilizer. Now investigators say the syringes actually contained drugs used to euthanize animals.
The original charge against Horn was dropped and he is now charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon to a family member. That is a first degree felony. His bond has been setat $1 million.
His wife, Misty Gail Horn, who he is accused of attacking, is hospitalized in intensive care. And now, a second woman has come forward to say she also had been attacked by Horn.
