Autopsy Performed on Fire Victim

TYLER � Tyler police say an autopsy was being performed to determine the cause of death of the victim in a structure fire at 2415 Rivera. According to police, the preliminary findings show that the woman appeared to have died from smoke inhalation. Police say the investigation remains open, and there was no more information as of late Monday afternoon. The townhouse fire happened around 7:45 Friday evening at Villa Ridge, off Old Troup Highway. Investigators believe the fire originated in the bedroom, but are not certain of the cause. The victim�s name has not been released.
