TxDOT signTYLER — Here’s a quick look at work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.

HENDERSON – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin approximately three weeks of pavement-repair work on U.S. Highway 79 between South Loop 571 and the Star. Also this week in Rusk County, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1249 between the Gregg County Line just east of Kilgore and Farm Road 2276. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Wednesday this week are scheduled to conclude pavement-repair operations on U.S. Highway 175 between SE Loop 7 in Athens and Farm Road 804. The work is being done in preparation for a seal coat application later this summer. Once the work is complete on US 175, crews are scheduled to move to Farm Road 1667 south of Trinidad. A second crew is scheduled to perform ditch maintenance at the intersections of State Highway 31 and Farm Road 3204 east of Brownsboro. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

Looking ahead to the week of June 10, TxDOT contract crews are scheduled to begin nighttime pavement-repair and resurfacing operations on the Athens Square. Once work begins, parking will not be allowed in or around the square between the hours of 6:00pm to 6:00am Sunday-Thursday.

WINONA – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform pavement-repair operations on State Highway 155 between Interstate Highway 20 and Winona. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue several weeks of deep-base repair work on Farm Road 1651 between State Highway 198 and State Highway 19 south of Canton. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers and pilot vehicles will control traffic.

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs in various locations on U.S. Highway 79 between New Summerfield and Jacksonville. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1137, between U.S. Highway 84 east of Palestine and the end of state maintenance. Once that work is complete, crews are scheduled to perform pavement repairs on East Loop 256 between U.S. Highway 84 and U.S. Highway 287. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement and edge repairs in various locations on Farm Road 2966 in Yantis. A second crew is scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1804 (Hoard Road) between U.S. Highway 80 east of Mineola and U.S. Highway 69 north of Lindale. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
