Third Suspect Arrested in Fatal Park Shooting

Hurd.1376664697TYLER — Tyler Police arrest a 3rd suspect wanted in a fatal park shooting. The suspect is identified as Ke’Avier Jarrod Wilson-Hurd, 20, of Tyler. Wilson-Hurd was identified as the shooter who was in P.T. Cole Park July 30 and allegedly fired numerous rounds at Dennis Bendy and Rakheem Goldstein.

Thursday night, around 11:50, officers responded to the intersection of Trezevant and N. Grand in reference to a man standing in the roadway waving a gun around. Officers located the subject and weapon and identified him as Heavier Jarrod Wilson-Herd. He was placed under arrest for unlawful carrying weapon. Investigators were notified of the arrest and secured an arrest warrant for murder on Wilson-Herd. Investigators placed the charge of murder on Wilson-Herd while he remained in custody at Smith County Jail. Honorable Judge Jack Skeen set his bond at $1,000,000. Bendy and Goldstein had already been arrested in the P.T. Cole Park shooting. Briana Raquel Young, 20, Tyler was killed in the crossfire.
