Two East Texans Get CMA Award Nominations

Kasey MusgravesNASHVILLE — Two East Texans have received nine nominations from the Country Music Association for the 2013 CMA awards. The list is led by Mineola native Kasey Musgraves who has received six nominations. She is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year (“Merry Go ‘Round”), Album of the Year (“Same Trailer, Different Park”), Song of the Year (“Merry Go ‘Round) and New Artist of the Year. Her sixth nomination is for co-writing Miranda Lambert’s hit song “Mama’s Broken Heart.”

Miranda Lambert-3Not be to left out, Lindale’s Miranda Lambert received three nominations. She has been nominated for Single of the Year (“Mama’s Broken Heart”), Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year (“Mama’s Broken Heart”).

The 47th annual CMA Awards will be handed out November 6th.
