New Arrivals in East Texas for the New Year

ETMC-TylerEAST TEXAS — The new year was just 6 hours and 33 minutes old when Tyler’s first baby of 2014 arrived. Gavin Reed Galaz arrived at East Texas Medical Center weighing 8 pounds and was 21 inches long. His parents are Ruben and Chantel Galaz of Lindale. Ruben works for ETMC as an EMS paramedic.

Alex Hernandez-babyThe first baby born at Mother Frances Hospital arrived at 1:14 Wednesday afternoon. Alex Hernandez, seen here on the left, tipped the scales at 8 pounds 3.6 ounces and was just over 19 inches long. He is the son of Alex and Jazamine Hernandez of Mineola. He is their third child. He came a litter earlier that had been projected. Her due date was January 9th.

In Longview, the first baby of 2014 arrived 33 minutes past midnight at Longview Regional Medical Center. Chloe Payton Richards weighed 5 pounds and 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. She arrived six days before her due date. She is the daughter of Chad and Genna Richards of Longview.
