Gladewater Home Goes Up in Flames

GLADEWATER — A Gladewater home was destroyed by fire Thursday. KETK and the Longview News-Journal report it happened a little after 1:00 Thursday afternoon at the corner of Wood and Martha Streets. An explosion heard after the fire sparked is said to have been caused by a propane tank. Gladewater firefighters say the blaze spread quickly inside because of the home’s metal exterior. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
