City of Tyler Offers Update on Services

TYLER — The city of Tyler is among many entities that have faced challenges in the wake of Sunday’s storm. The city offered this update Tuesday afternoon:

The Glass Recreation Center remained closed Tuesday due to a power outage. It is anticipated that it will reopen Wednesday.

The Solid Waste Department did not collect trash Tuesday due to weather related road conditions. They will pick up recycling Saturday and resume normal collection on Thursday and Friday this week. Customers with bulky collection items should place them on the curb and they will be picked up in the next week.

The warming center at St. Louis Church has been closed. Those who may still need shelter are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army.

The Airport remains open.
