Tyler Man Dies in 3-Vehicle Rusk County Crash

thumb_DPS-car-2TATUM Authorities have identified the drivers in a three-vehicle collision in Rusk County that resulted in a Tyler mans death. DPS Trooper Jean Dark tells KETK that a GMC truck was headed east on Farm Road 1716 shortly after 6:45 Monday morning when the vehicle drove into the westbound lane and struck a Chevy pickup head-on. After the vehicles collided, the GMC came to rest in the middle of the road and was hit by a 2014 Dodge truck traveling east. The Chevy rolled and stopped on its side facing east. The driver of the GMC, Kenneth Steele, 37, of Tyler, was killed. Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Bonnie Miller pronounced Steele dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt during the wreck. Steeles body was taken to Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.

The driver of the Chevy, Angila Ray, 40, of Gilmer, was taken to a Longview hospital in stable condition. The Dodge was carrying two passengers: Roger Clark, 45, of Longview and an 11-year-old boy. Both were treated and released at the scene. The crash occurred eight miles outside of Tatum.
