thumb_adrian_petersonCONROE (ESPN/STAFF) Prosecutors in Montgomery County have filed paperwork to have Adrian Petersons bail revoked and the Minnesota Vikings running back re-arrested. Thats after the former Palestine star reportedly told a court employee that he had recently smoked marijuana before taking a drug test Wednesday. Peterson made his first court appearance in Texas on Wednesday since his indictment last month on a felony child abuse charge. According to the filing signed by Montgomery County District Attorney Bill Delmore, Peterson admitted to a court employee that he had smoked a little weed before the test. Not taking any illegal drugs is a common condition to adhere to when out on bond.

Peterson has been free on $15,000 bond on a charge of felony child abuse. A trial has tentatively been set to begin December 1. No action was expected on the prosecutors filing before a recusal hearing scheduled today for the current judge in the Peterson case. On Wednesday, Petersons attorney, Rusty Hardin, urged the public not to rush to judgment with his client, who is accused of striking his 4-year-old son with a switch.
