Tyler Christmas Parade Application Deadline Approaching

TYLER � Applications for the city of Tyler�s Christmas Parade are due by Friday, November 7. You can go to http://www.TylerPolice.com to download an application packet. School groups (such as bands, dance teams or the National Honor Society), civic organizations, churches, and other non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate, according to a city news release. All entries must be consistent with the city�s overall parade theme of Christmas, the holidays, winter, etc.

Parade floats will follow the same route used in previous years, moving southward on Broadway Avenue from Bow Street, turning west onto Ferguson Street, south on College Avenue, and east on Erwin Street before returning north on Spring Avenue. Officials invite you to be a part of the festivities as the city hosts the Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 4, at 6:00pm, in downtown Tyler. Immediately following the parade, the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held on the square.
