Officials Investigating Fire at Canton Apartments

CANTON � The Van Zandt County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what’s termed a suspicious fire that occurred early Sunday morning. KETK reports the blaze broke out around 1:00 a.m. at the Canton Apartments. According to fire officials, someone entered an apartment and burglarized it prior to setting it on fire. Anyone with information about this fire is urged to call the fire marshal’s office, the Canton Police Department, or Van Zandt County Crimestoppers at (903) 567-STOP.
