Tyler Church Damaged by Fire During Sunday Services

TYLER � Minor damage was reported from a church fire that was spotted during Sunday morning services yesterday. A late arriving church member spotted the smoke coming from the roof of the Voices of Victory Missionary Baptist Church at 201 South Baxter Avenue. Tony Gumber with Tyler Fire Department told KETK “firefighters found some smoldering wood and damage appears to be due to electrical wiring that shorted out.” No injuries were reported.
