Arrest Made in Marshall Shooting

MARSHALL — The Marshall Police Department has arrested a woman in connection with a shooting at a local park. KETK reports officers responded around 12:23 Wednesday afternoon to the West End Park, at 1600 W. Rusk Street, on reports of gunfire. When authorities made it to the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound. Officials say he was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested Maurine Parker, who is in her 50s, and charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into the Harrison County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
