One Arrested, One Sought in Kidnapping

MARSHALL — The Marshall Police Department has arrested one suspect and one is still at large in connection with an aggravated kidnapping incident Sunday at 900 East End Boulevard North. KETK reports that officers arrested Lionel Ray Wheeler Wednesday on an aggravated kidnapping charge. Antonio Dante Rivers (pictured), a black male who stands 5’11” and weighs 150 pounds, is still at large. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
According to police, Rivers and Wheeler approached an individual about providing a ride to an auto parts store. During the ride, one of the suspects revealed to the individual that he had a gun and told him where to go, according to authorities. Officials say that while that suspect was distracted, the driver of the car was able to escape and call police. Police report that Rivers and Wheeler took the driver’s car and abandoned it later down the road.
