That’s according to KETK. “This was not an easy decision because we have accomplished so much at Longview Regional and opportunities still exist to advance the care we provide the community,” said Kendrick. “There is a solid infrastructure in place to continue the vision we’ve established and a leadership team that will support its success. I will miss all of Longview’s talented employees, volunteers, board members and medical staff and wish them all the best in the future.”

During Kendrick’s 10 years at Longview, he championed the development of key service lines and worked in close collaboration with the medical staff and employees to enhance patient care services, according to hospital officials. He also led the organization through an expansion that almost doubled the number of licensed beds, added a new 21-bed NICU and remodeled all existing patient rooms.

“Jim has been an outstanding hospital executive and community leader for Longview, and he will be missed,” said Tim Vaughn, Longview Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees Chairman. “His operational and leadership experience will be a tremendous asset to the Oklahoma hospitals as they come together as a network.” Officials say he board of trustees, members of the medical staff, and members of the administration will immediately begin the search to identify a permanent CEO for Longview Regional.
