Two Hurt in Shooting in Gregg County

crime-sceneGREGG COUNTY — Two people were injured friday morning in a Gregg County shooting. KETK reports law enforcement responded to a local hospital around 2:58 a.m. regarding a man with a gunshot wound and injuries to his head. He was identified as Jamone Champion, 18, of Longview. Champion was not able to give details about the shooting and was last reported in serious condition, according to officials. A short time later, a second gunshot victim, 26-year-old Ladarrin Rayson of Longview, arrived at a local hospital and was treated for a minor wound and released.

Deputies determined both men were shot during the same incident at a location on Osborne Street in Longview earlier in the morning. The incident is classified as an aggravated assault and the investigation continues.
