Fenton Road Reduced to One-Way Traffic

LONGVIEW — Beginning Tuesday, Longview’s Fenton Road will be reduced to one-way travel and one lane of traffic. The closure will be intermittent and is expected to continue for an extended period, according to a news release from the city. Through traffic will be allowed to travel along Fenton Road beginning at George Richey to the south, then will turn east towards Gilmer Road. The project, which involves the widening of Fenton Road and replacing the utilities, was approved by voters in the 2011 bond election. It’s being constructed by East Texas Bridge of Longview.
