10 Area Bikers Indicted in Waco Shootout
Posted/updated on: November 12, 2015 at 3:41 pmWACO — Ten East Texas men are among 106 bikers indicted this week in McLennan County in connection to a deadly shootout in May outside a Waco restaurant. The Longview News-Journal reports 71 other bikers arrested May 17 still face possible indictments later this month. Area bikers indicted on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity include four Longview residents: Anthony Shane Palmer, Christopher Ryan Rogers, George Earl Rogers, and Marshall Mitchell. Also indicted were Phillip Sampson and Wesley McAlister of Gilmer, Kyle Smith of Kilgore, James L. Gray of Tyler, Josh Logan Martin of Pittsburg, and Jacob Reese of Mount Pleasant. Nine people died and 20 were injured during the shooting outside Twin Peaks restaurant between police and biker club members.
