Shots Fired in Road Rage Incident

police-1HARRISON COUNTY — Harrison County deputies and investigators are interviewing witnesses in an alleged road rage incident where one person was shot. According to KETK, the shooting happened around 9:00 PM on FM 2208 near Alpine Road. Officials said one vehicle was approaching another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction with its high beam lights on and did not dim them as the other vehicle approached. The driver of the other vehicle allegedly turned around and pursued the car, reportedly followed the car and eventually got the driver to pull over.

The driver of the pursuing vehicle allegedly began arguing with the other driver and opened the car door, causing. The driver of that vehicle retrieved a pistol from his vehicle and fired twice at the victim hitting them in the arm. The second shot did not strike the victim. The victim managed to drive himself to the hospital for treatment. The other driver waited at the scene of the incident for deputies to arrive.
