Longview Police Using a New Mapping System

LONGVIEW — The Longview Police Department has started using a new software mapping program. This will make available where police reports have been filed and the nature of those calls. Police spokesman Kristy Brains says they have been working on getting such a program for over a year. This new interactive crime mapping software will give citizens the ability to gain access to the data they are looking for on their desktop or mobile device. She said you will also have the option to to sign up for email notifications for activity that is occurring in a specific area.
