According to KETK, the Smith County District Attorney’s Office names the suspects as 19-year-olds Mario Villegas (left) and Alexis Juarez (right), both of Tyler. They’re accused of breaking into a house on August 5 on West Bow Street and threatening to kill the residents. Officials say a man was assaulted inside the house and that the suspects tried to drag him outside.

When police arrived on scene, they found the suspects sitting in a truck in front of the house. One of the suspects reportedly threw a gun into the bushes when he saw the police pulling up to the residence. Officers later found the discarded firearm and also found another pistol in the truck. A juvenile suspect was also taken into custody. Trial dates for Juarez and Villegas have not been set.
