Longview Police Investigate Bank Heist
Posted/updated on: September 17, 2016 at 5:32 pmLONGVIEW — Police are investigating after a Longview credit union was robbed Thursday for the second time in three weeks. According to the Longview News-Journal, officers were called to the LeTourneau Federal Credit Union on South High Street. The credit union also was robbed by a gunman Aug. 31. Officers, along with a K-9 unit, searched an area Thursday afternoon for the suspect near the credit union on Garrett Street between Cedar Avenue and Dunbar Street. Police have not said if Thursday’s robbery is linked to the one in August.
According to KETK, video of Thursday’s incident shows a man wearing a red shirt running into the credit union with a gun pointed around 2:36 p.m. He then leaves about 20 seconds later with a bag in his other hand.
