TYLER — The public is again being asked to participate in development of a master plan for Tyler’s Rose Complex area. Several public planning and design charrettes — defined as intense periods of design or planning activity — as well as monthly steering committee meetings have been conducted to narrow development options based on the opinions and suggestions received. Next, a public meeting will be conducted to receive public comment on the three different plans. This meeting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden Center in the Rose Room. Members of the public are invited to voice their opinions and gain more knowledge about the project.

According to a city news release, Tyler Parks and Recreation entered into an agreement with Halff Associates in September to create a master plan for the complex. This includes Harvey Convention Center, the Rose Garden and Rose Garden Center, the East Texas State Fairgrounds, Tyler ISD’s football and baseball facilities, Windsor Grove Park and the surrounding areas. For more information and real time updates on this project, please visit http://www.RoseComplexMasterPlan.com or contact Leanne Robinette at (903) 531-1349 or lrobinette@tylertexas.com.
