LONGVIEW – The Gregg County grand jury has handed up a capital murder indictment against a man charged in a double homicide. Named in the indictment was Christopher Marvin Bell II, 21, of Longview. He had been charged in the November deaths of Freddie Allison, 41 and Deandra Allison, 38, both of Longview. Their bodies were found last November at the Huntington Hills Apartments on North Eastman Road.

Investigators say Bell went to the couple’s apartment to see his daughter. The suspect then said he was not allowed inside, so he went to the back of the apartment. He jumped over the balcony, broke the glass patio door and began to fight with the victim’s. He then took out a handgun and shot the couple. He then fled and called police to turn himself in. He was arrested in a parking lot of a store on Estes Parkway.
